Can merchants bill you directly after a credit card dispute has been settled in your favor?
I bought a sectional sofa on JcPenny's website.It was delivered by truck to my home.The frame was split.I immediately called JcPenny to resolve.They wanted to bill me again to order a new sectional that wasnt even in stock yet.They say they don't do exchanges. They told me they would have the trucking co come back and pick it up and it could take up to 4 wks to get a credit.I called to dispute with my credit card.They tried to fight the dispute for a few months.I received a letter saying it had been settled in my favor from the cc company.Their trucking co. set up two appointments to pick it up and did two no call no shows.Yesterday I received a postcard-bill from jcpenny.
