Patriotism, Religion, Church of England, Great Migration, and Great Awakening?

We're having a debate in APUSH about patriots vs. loyalists. I need to find some arguments with religion and how it makes loyalists look bad with staying loyal to the Church of England. I just don't know how to tie all of these things in to make it work with the debate to make it a good decision to be a patriot. I know how to start off with religious persecution which is the major reason why the Puritans and Pilgrims came to America to find religious freedom. But how do I tie in the Great Migration and the Great Awakening or some other key events?
