Why do some people believe that dolphins will take over the world?

I'm no scientist but for a basic answer I would say that in theory it might be possible after thousands even millions of years of evolution, because (according to Darwin's theory) all humans animals and plants 'grew' from one single cell and we were once all fish which turned to humans eventually. So yes they could do but it is rather unlikely.
