Is this discrimination?
I have a Masters degree in Social Work with almost 10 years of management and supervisor experience. I recently accepted a position as a hospital social worker. After 2 months a social services director position came open. This position was just going to be given to a lady who only has a bachelors degree in social work and zero management experience but has been with the company for 2 years, her first job out of college. When I spoke to the female Administrator she said I could apply for the position but my chances of getting it were slim. Now the whole management team is comprised of women. Is this a form of discrimination, knowing that I have a higher degree and many more years of management experience? Also a female social worker was recently hired, a few months after me, and she was offered about 4000 more than me. The issue is she is fresh out of school and has zero experience at the masters lever whereas I have almost 10. Is this a form of discrimination?
