What is the best thing to use to blend Oil Pastels?

My mother got me oil pastels for X-mas, but I've never really used them. I'm used to soft pastels (the kind that's kind of like chalk) and I can't use Q-tips to blend the oil like I can the soft. Any ideas? A friend's husband said to use a tightly rolled up piece of paper.
