Would a yellow polka dot swimsuit look cute with red/orange/bronze hair?

I have dark red hair and my cousin has orange. Everyone tells us that bright colors look great on us and earth tones like dark green,brown, and golden hues. But stay away from black. Also it depends on what color your skin tone is. But bright yellows,oranges,and blues and greens look great on us and I'm fair and shes tanned. Oh and dark pinks will be your foe so stick to brighter, loud shades.
