Sugar glider oder danger?

First off i need a true answer not a biast one PLEASE. Ok so if someone has 10 sugar gliders in there livingroom and it smells so bad that it burns you nostrils, is it safe for my one year old to be over there? Is there a saftey rule as to how many sugar gliders one person should have? Please any links or websites would be a big help too. I really feel like there is some kind of health violation going on but i cant find prove to try and convience "this person"
